Overview

The SMART Bandage™ (Snakes & Funnel-webs) is an Australian-designed pressure immobilisation bandage created with input from leading first aid and snakebite experts. Featuring a printed tension indicator that changes from a rectangle to a square when correct compression is achieved, it helps rescuers apply optimal pressure during a snake or funnel-web spider bite emergency.
Made from durable woven cotton with non-fraying edges, the SMART Bandage™ can be washed after training and reused for practice. It also doubles as a versatile compression bandage suitable for sprains, strains and major wound management. For effective pressure immobilisation, it is recommended to carry at least two SMART Bandages™ so one can be applied above and one below the bite site.
